Class Test MasteringGenetics: Spring 2011
What is a class test?
It's a way to test drive the Mastering system.
- Class testing will allow you to see first hand how Mastering works for you and your students before making a commitment to adopt.
- It's flexible! Try out a few items with a selection of students or integrate the whole program into your entire course—you decide! All we ask is that you assign your selections for any amount of course credit and have your students take a user survey at the end of the class test.
- It's important! Class testers use assessment questions before they are launched to the public. This process helps us to establish comparative assessment metrics on each question that are used by instructors to evaluate content for their courses.
Why should I class test?
There are several benefits to class testing!
- Get early access to new resources! Class testers are able to use these innovative materials before they are made available to the general public.
- Improve student performance. Your students will receive complimentary access to resources that will increase their understanding of course material and, in turn, improve their grades.
- Influence educational technology! Professors and students are invaluable to the continual development of our learning materials and the feedback and data we receive from class testers informs the evolution of our products.
